Several months later, in October 2006, JPMorgan categorized Epstein as a "high-risk" client, according to a transcript of Dimon's deposition in May. Today, banks have entire departments dedicated to tracking client activity and flagging suspicious behavior. Lots of questions'The fuss JPMorgan compliance officers raised about Epstein in 2011 was extensive. A 'faithless servant'One person who might know much more about the tangled relationship between Epstein and JPMorgan is Jes Staley. Staley sent Epstein internal JPMorgan documents and relied on him for guidance on an array of business and personal dealings, the JPMorgan internal report shows.

The Britney Spears jukebox musical “Once Upon a One More Time” is not a bio-show recounting the singer’s life. Rather, it retrofits two dozen of her songs — including “Oops! A number of times, Mr. Staley told Mr. Epstein he missed him, talked about mutual friends and about helping his daughter get into graduate school. In one email, Mr. Staley bragged to Mr. Epstein about his New Year’s Eve 2011 plans: “I’m here in Brazil with three beautiful women. Have a happy new year.”In another email exchange, according to the document, Mr. Staley wrote to Mr. Epstein in 2010: “Maybe they’re tracking u?? There's a new one-of-a-kind opportunity available to Disney's biggest fans. Walt Disney's famous "Storybook Mansion" has hit the market, with the Los Angeles home available to rent for $40,000 per month. Disney himself lived in the 6,400-square-foot mansion for 18 years from its construction in 1932 until 1950, a period during which he oversaw the creation of classic films like "Bambi" and "Snow White." "This property was chosen by Walt Disney as the place to raise his family, and also coincided with a transition of Disney Studios from fledgling enterprise toward entertainment giant," listing agent Chase Campen said in a statement.

For more than a decade, Sean Bailey has run Disney’s animated film “reimagining” factory with quiet efficiency and superhero-sized results. Disney’s animated classics are treasured by fans, but most showcase ideas from another era, especially when it comes to gender roles: Be pretty, girls, and things might work out. The reimaginings, as Mr. Bailey refers to his remakes, find ways to make Disney stories less retrograde. “We want to reflect the world as it exists,” Mr. Bailey said. But that worldview — and business strategy — has increasingly put Disney and Mr. Bailey, a low-profile and self-effacing executive, in the middle of a very loud, very unpolite cultural fight.

The new Barbie movie used so much pink paint on set that it caused an international shortage. Production designer Sarah Greenwood told Architectural Digest the "world ran out of pink." Greenwood told the magazine that constructing the set resulted in an international shortage of the fluorescent shade of Rosco paints. "The world ran out of pink," she told Architectural Digest. By attributing that knowledge to JPMorgan, Epstein's accusers might show that JPMorgan "actually knew" about the venture or "recklessly disregarded" its existence, Rakoff said. It does a ton of business in China, which many GOP voters view as a threat to the US. DeSantis already ran on being anti-Disney — and wonTaryn Fenske, DeSantis' communications director, has described the Disney fight as being "the will of Florida voters." And they might not vote for DeSantis if they think the Disney fight is a killer in a general election. Families often work hard and save for years to take their children to Disney World. If DeSantis can't bring a resolution to the Disney fight, can he handle the job of president?
LONDON, March 27 (Reuters) - Barclays (BARC.L) has said recent allegations against its former Chief Executive Jes Staley are "serious and new", after U.S. lawsuits alleged he had a close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and alleged involvement in his sex-trafficking operation. "The Board's original review, conducted in February 2020, was based on the information it had at the time and representations made by Mr Staley," the notice added. The comments are Barclays' most substantive remarks on Staley since he left the bank in November 2021. Epstein was a former client of Staley's when he previously worked at U.S. bank JPMorgan (JPM.N). Staley has acknowledged having been friendly with Epstein, but expressed regret for their relationship and denied knowing about the financier's alleged crimes.

For the last decade, the Walt Disney Company has been transforming its classic animated features into live-action theatrical and streaming features. Earlier this week, Universal said it would be doing the same for one of its own animated franchises: How to Train Your Dragon. What is, perhaps, most notable about Disney's live-action remakes is how much of the ticket sales were generated from international markets. This is something Universal is likely also keyed into when creating the live-action version of "How to Train Your Dragon."
New York CNN —Former Barclays CEO Jes Staley allegedly exchanged sexually suggestive emails with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, some of which included photos of young women, according to newly unsealed passages of a federal lawsuit. He isn’t a defendant in the lawsuit and has not been charged criminally with any activities related to Epstein. The lawsuit alleges JPMorgan Chase “had a more than close-up view of Epstein’s sex-trafficking” and “ignored obvious red flags relating to Epstein’s accounts.”Both JPMorgan Chase and Barclays declined to comment on the newly unsealed passages. I have few so profound.”One month later, Staley allegedly sent another email to Epstein: “I realize the danger in sending this email. JPMorgan Chase did not flag any of the emails between Epstein and Staley in connection with risk reviews, according to the lawsuit: “Moreover, JP Morgan Chase allowed Staley to remain a decision-maker on Epstein’s accounts.
Say hi to Snow White," Staley emailed Epstein in July 2010, according to filings on Wednesday with the U.S. District Court in Manhattan. "Beauty and the Beast," Staley allegedly responded, to which Epstein replied: "Well one side is available," according to the filing. According to the lawsuit, Staley exchanged around 1,200 emails with Epstein from his JPMorgan email account between 2008 and 2012. Staley allegedly wrote to Epstein on Nov 1, 2009, describing his relationship with Epstein as "profound". One month later, Staley allegedly wrote to Epstein to say how great it had been to give him "a long, heartfelt hug", after which Epstein allegedly sent Staley two pictures of young women.
Jeffrey Epstein would email photos of young women to his banker at JPMorgan Chase, a lawsuit says. The convicted sex offender and his banker, longtime JPMorgan Chase executive Jes Staley, would write to each other about how they had "fun," the lawsuit said. Other newly unredacted details show that 20 of Epstein's sex trafficking victims were paid through his 55 JPMorgan Chase accounts, Insider's Lloyd Lee and Jacob Shamsian reported. Despite Staley's apparent close friendship with Epstein, JPMorgan Chase allowed Staley to manage the multimillionaire's funds, the lawsuit alleged. Staley's lawyer and JPMorgan Chase did not immediately respond to Insider's requests for comments sent outside regular business hours.

Questions about the fate of Patty Jenkins' "Rogue Squadron" began circulating nearly a year ago, and intensified after the Star Wars film went unmentioned at Disney's annual D23 Expo last weekend. The suggestion was that Jenkin's Star Wars feature would be punted down the calendar to another date. "Rogue Squadron" was set to be the first theatrical Star Wars film since the 2019 release of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker," which received middling reviews and generated over $1 billion in ticket sales worldwide. The path for future Star Wars films has been unclear since "Rise of Skywalker" was released. There's even talk that "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" director Rian Johnson is still attached to a stand-alone trilogy set within the Star Wars universe.
"Puterea, inteligenţa şi optimismul său vor deveni o parte integrantă a acestei redescoperiri a bucuriei clasicului basm Disney", a explicat cineastul, cunoscut pentru "The Amazing Spider-Man" (2012) şi "The Amazing Spider-Man: A Hero's Fate" (2014).
